Hate

The world we live in, is full of hate ,
exercised, justified, by the walls we create,
Why must one man kill another ,
why must he fight for bread and butter

Human nature is hard to define ,
from helping in need, to planting a mine ,
Not all are filled with this hate ,
there are some who help to break ,
This divide, this anger between us all ,
create a world of harmony, peace, no more walls

This emotion burns us all inside ,
no thoughts, no regrets, it blinds our eyes ,
For when a man is filled with hate ,
he feels no love, no compassion, just blind hate

The world must learn to forgive ,
and with each other peacefully live ,
To let go of that absorbing hate ,
Only then shall we love find ,
to remember, as gandhi once said ,
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind...
