When you're a kid, and do what you're told,
parents are your eyes to the world,
You see what they see, and do what they do,
they are all thats important, idols to you
You choose wrong from right,
by doing what your parents might,
You try copying their every move,
everything they say is true
And as you grow, you realize,
you have choices, different needs arise,
Dont want that glass of milk today,
just want to play all day
Then comes the second phase as a child,
when parents are not always right,
You rebel and your parents punish,
slowly the hate begins to furnish
With it come the slaps and the crying,
shouting, cursing, and the lying,
When promises are made to be broken,
trust and faith are out in the open
And that is when you turn to friends,
you feel only they can understand,
What you go through, your problems at hand,
they become your support, for they beside you stand
At this stage your friends become,
most important in your life,
You share your pain, your jokes,
your sorrows, your dreams all the time
Slowly peer pressure begins to set in,
your parents you just keep avoiding,
Small talk at the dinner table,
weekly lecture on your time table
As your board year arrives,
parental pressure begins to rise,
Study, slog it out, is all they say,
sitting on your head all day
Now, when you think in retrospect,
about the fights, the lecturing you get,
For you they always want the best,
your support, your true friends, your parents...

this is by far your best. you seem to be making improvements in long strides. poetry is more difficult than writing ,say, an article because you have to take care about the ryhming part and so your choice of words in which you want to express something, becomes constricted. its a damn tough job to write poems. a job, that you've done with finesse
i
seems like u certaily made a good son out of urself...
